i'm not planning to fade or stop as one of jehovah's witnesses, just stop serving as an elder.. i have responsibility in the congregation and in circuit, district, rbc, etc.
and i'm completely exhausted.

Ooh I picked up on that in our talk too, the misrepresentation of the born again standpoint. Did she mean where we said that the born again crowd decide for themselves that they're saved, but that they're clearly wrong cos some scripture or other says that it comes from ABOVE, it's not from ourselves..? cos I always understood that they gave themselves to Christ then at some future point they felt something to that end..

it is a difficult concept to communicate and so if it is not explained well , it is understandable that we would dismiss it.. i sincerely want to talk with people who want to learn more or see what all the fuss is about.
we are all learning and increasing our knowledge all the time and it is good to go over facts with critical eye.. evolution we can discuss, looking at the foundational facts and evidence, one at a time for you to go and check, agree or disagree with and return.. no pressure to accept it, you can decide for yourself, also no mocking etc of what you have to say.. .

Is it normal to feel you have betrayed your spouse when you learn TTATT?
by BU2B ini am trying to look at it from a believing mates perspective.
they married you as a jw expecting you to continue as one.
if you have kids, she enjoyed the stability of both spouses being united.. when you learn ttatt, you find out the wt is a dangerous mind control group and lies to its members and is hypocritical.

Well put, everyone above! I feel guilty all the time for this, and that's only in my mind as I'm still in! The missus knows I have serious doubts but doesn't seem to want to talk about it. I suppose it's taken me years to wake up, I can't expect any less for her. let's hope so for all of us. We should form a club!

Reverse Witnessing - Will NEVER work!

there is nothing called reasoning with them.

Fascinating kaik, thanks for posting... I've never believed in the world being only 7000 years old, and tbh I always thought we as witnesses believed in the big bang (but God started it and controlled it of course), but I've always believed mankind has only been here 6000 yrs as per wt theology. How convincing is the evidence for the dating of these people that lived 7 to 9000 years ago? Cos I've brought this up before and simply been TOLD the dating is out, it's an unreliable science..
